found in one of my readings..
Dr Laura Schlesinger is a US broadcaster who dispenses advice to people who call her radio show. On one of her shows she said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, she held that homosexuality was an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and she could not condone in any way. The following is an open letter to Dr Laura from a US citizen which was posted on the internet:
'Dear Dr Laura, Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Lev 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to follow them.
a) When I burn a bull on the altar of sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24) The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.
d) I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath, Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
e) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
f) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field. He also tends to curse and blaspheme alot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24: 10-16) Couldn't we just bring them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
Your faithful listener.
HAHAHA. i find this highly amusing. back to mugging...

Hey girls!! Just feel lke sharing what i shared in CG today. RAHSTER!!! Why you never reply my msg??!!HUH HUH HUH??!! Angsty!!! =/ (LOL)here you go....just a small portion of it. think need to share in parts...cos too much to say.John 14:15,"If you love me, you will obey what I command." (NIV)Jesus said IF we love Him, we will obey His commandments. It means..we keep His commandments, it show that we love Him. Correct?Er...NO. That's not really correct. It should be...because we love God, we obey Him, out of a heart full of love. The difference is motivation. When you love a person, you will follow what the person says. Obedience becomes easy. Sacrifices becomes worthwhile. You are willing to doany thing, because you really love a person. In all that we do, our motivation should be LOVE for God.If we try so hard to obey Him, just to proof to Him we love Him, we missed the whole point. We can be doing something right, without the right heart. Agree? =)Question is..."How much do we love God?" To what extend are we willing to sacrifice for Jesus?Everyone in church will say they love God!!! But...how much?Is it enough for you to lay down your life?Is it enough for you to obey Him, even if it's tough? Is it enough for you to surrender will?Is it enough for you to trust Him in your finances?Someone asked "How much does Jesus loves me?"Perhaps there's no way to put a measure on God's love for us.But He loves us so much...He just said "this much...."and He spread out His arms...allow Himself to be nailed on the Cross of Calvary...died for our sins. Easter is coming. Easter is all about Jesus publicly displaying His love for each of us.May our love for Him grow deeper with each amazing day!Amen.Cindee/Tengster

hey buddies,
me and cindy went to volunteer at one of citycare's events, Farmtastic! (: we brought some 40 under-priveleged kids out for a day at Hay Dairies Farm (goat milk farm!!) and Max Koi Farm.. FUN!!
this is Ah Boy (cos we couldnt get his name) he looks very innocent now but he's a real HANDFUL.. keeps running around! drawing pictures of fishies at the koi farm firdaus posing for a picture (so cute!!) finally stealing a rest as the kids are busy drawing we're both really, really, really sweaty by then firdaus trying to look innocent (pls do not be decieved) with all 3 siblings - atiqah, firdaus, daniel he barged in when i was trying to take a pic with atiqah! naughty! check out the bun on the floor - firdaus insists its a 'burger' HAHA. they're so adorable right! but we spent half the time carrying them, swinging them around, and chasing after them.. haha.. i think its the reason why as i type this post im aching all over. buddy are you aching too?! i give you a massage tmr k!!
LOL. too bad we didnt take any pics at the goat farm. the smell was FANTASTIC (in a really awful way) but billy goats are cute.
yea so thats all for our farmtastic event.. PLS JOIN US NEXT TIME.
